2016 Ash Wednesday, Lenten Time

The Lenten Season has always been my favorite
time in the Church.
A time to reflect and  to contemplate.
A time for sacrificial giving, for being thoughtful,
kinder, and fruitful. In a world so full of hate (grieving)
try to spread love.
Remember to say Please and Thank you.
Pray for the Poor.
Pray for Peace.
Pray for Forgiveness.

Jesus Christ says that we all must come as children,
no matter what our age, social standing,
or intellectual background.

2He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them.
3And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become
like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
4Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is
the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
5And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.

Our Lady of Fatima

Although the threads of my life have
often seemed knotted,
I know by faith, that on the other side of the
embroidery there is a crown.
                             Corrie ten Boom

Mericia, my oldest sister,
was devoted
to our Lady of Fatima.
She visited Fatima, Portugal during
her battle with cancer.

All these years later her example
still warms my heart.
She loved to pray the rosary.
It was a  beautiful devotion.
