Happy Father's Day

My father was 45 years old when I was born. My father has been gone for 20 years now but I think of him often and miss him still. My father made me feel loved and we shared the love of chocolate. Some of my fondest memories include sharing moments peeling cooked chestnuts during the holidays, eating fresh fava beans in the spring, and him preparing fresh fish for my mother to cook. Father loved and respected animals and I see so much of that in my own children.

It was important to try to pick an amazing man for my children. Yes, my children have an wonderful role model and a loving daddy. We call him Saint Lee and Daddy.

Yesterday, we spent some wonderful moments at Quail Botanical Gardens www.qbgardens.org

Nicholas graduated on June 18. Didn't get a glimpse of him but I was there. Don't let anyone fool you, being a mother is the toughest job you will ever love.

Nicholas graduated from high school today. I watched from afar as they called his name. If you are out there NicholasPicolas I still remember when you would say "IG Joe" and "I keem cone" time flies and time heals all wounds.

And as my brother reminded me today "prayer works." God bless everyone that keeps me in their prayers.

Today was Mark's graduation day. Mark is first generation on my side and the first to graduate from college on his daddy's side.
No one graduates alone.

The speakers were inspirational. Calling the students to be part of the solution.

So proud and thrilled. It was an emotional day for all of us. We love you Mark.
