New Tattoo

I don't have any tattoos but I am fascinated by the history and beauty of a really well done tattoo. This image is packed with symbolism. There is a 13 to represent our first date (Friday, June 13), LVE is our monogram, tulips, my wedding band and our wedding date above in roman numerals.

Twitter

Lee will have his new tattoo on Monday. Yes, Day of the Dead...can't wait to share the image with you. It is my anniversary gift to him.

More exciting news: Look for me on twitter: leeandgenie

I was inspired by Miss Ivy Bean. She is 104 years old and has 40,000 followers. How amazing is that? Mark lis still aughing at me...he thinks I am just a conformist. Sad to here from your son but I am getting over it.

Crafty Weekend

It going to be a crafty weekend. Our weather hasn't cooled but we've decided to just pretend.

October will be here in a minute. This is my favorite time of the year. All I can think of is pumpkins, baking treats and watching old movies. So ready.

Staci's Wedding

Staci married Daniel on September 12. I am a BIG proponent of the BIG MARRIAGE small wedding.

Enough said I hope you enjoy the photos.

Waiting for the guests of honor to arrive.

Entertaining ourselves with our toes. Painted free hand can you even imagine.

Road Trip to Wedding

Quick turn around road trip. We just got back and I have so much to tell you.

The get along gang attended the wedding of my niece Staci in Oakdale, California. We didn't have an opportunity to stop by the Oakdale quilt store and let me tell you we wanted to go. But we did get to visit with my brother, the father of the bride, and eat some yummy fixings he had prepared for us.

Staci has the creative spirit. When my brother said she would wear a denim wedding dress I could not picture it...even with a "tie the knot western themed wedding." You will be amazed how really charming her ideas were. They were wed in a barn, we sat on hay stacks, there was a children's corral, cow bells for impromptu bride and groom kisses, a "denim" bride's cake and two groom's lucky horse shoe cakes.

On top of all that we visited the Holy Ghost Festival in Gustine. I found a source for fresh chestnuts and panoramic photos from the Azores. VoVo would have loved it so much.

Thank you for stopping by and allowing me to share my pride.

Julie & Julia

Lee and I finally saw Julie & Julia today. Amazing, we just loved every morsel of it. We both agree, we have to see the film again just to pay attention to the rooms, the clothes, and things like the knitted coverlet on Julie's couch. It reminded me so much of all of VoVo's knitting and crochet.

And of course, the film made me even more thankful for my wonderful husband.
