Married to a Proper Businessman

I never intended on getting married again but the Lord had a different plan.

I told myself, if by chance I dated occasionally, it would not be to a "buy sell guy"
more interested in accumulating wealth then in building a friendship.
We all know "buy sell" kind of people.
We walk by them every where dressed in the uniform of success,
constantly on the phone, their buzzing conversations sound like "buy sell buy sell."
It's the arrogance I sense first whipping around me like a chilly wind.

The priest, in engaged encounter all those years ago,  warned that a job could
be just like a mistress.  Be vigilant place God first.

This lead to running in the opposite direction of any
other "buy sell" guy, me falling in love with an artist's heart,
to this artist working as a graphic designer,
to the dot com fiasco,
and now to the occasional event of business travel.

In the early morning, he departs in business attire
covering the artist tattoos of his generation,
an air of confidence,
sporting the goatee he has worn since the age of 16,
and his nearly bicced haircut.  He is edgy and thankfully
all mine.

Keep him safe Lord.
