Find Joy in Small Things

Cotton Candy Grapes

Our friends and family are often intrigued
by our many road trips.  True, the get-along-gang
has clocked many hours on the road, but we love

It is a way for us to slow down, listen to public
radio and audio children's literature. For
Mr. Lee to drive and for me to craft.

Splendid Table is a public radio family favorite.
You may think it is odd but I promise
the captive children among us
love it, too.  Where
else would we have learned of Cotton
Candy grapes? We found them
at our local grocery store this past

And as an added bonus, our
children can sing everything from
Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Guns and Roses,
Tim Armstrong, to Big Daddy Weave,
and every thing in between.

There is NOTHING that gives us
more JOY.

Joy delights in Joy.

  1. Genie My Love~ You kill me!!! I enjoyed this post so much a read it out loud to my Mom :))) Love the picture of your kids singing Dolly Parton and Big Daddy Weave! Oh to be along on your road trips.....what a time we would have!
I will have to look for the grapes. It looks like they have a spot of pink on them. I am all about anything with pink on it :)
    Love you,

    1. Danette,

I know right? Sometimes Miss Mabel, the minivan, is all quiet and a little voice will sing "where the girls are green and the grass is pretty." It's such a giggle fest because the grass is green and the girls are pretty. Jacob's little voice singing Jolene and the two singing "I am redeemed" brings tears to my eyes. A little ring ring of fireya. Kisses and hugs to you all.

  2. Today I have a list of small joys to be thankful for...I woke up with a grateful heart and when that is the case everything I look at shouts joy. I am sooooo enjoying your little owls on your header..so darling. Happy weekend to you

    1. Koralee,

You scream joy on your blog with very post and spread the sunshine. The owl fourth from the left reminds me of my Mr. Lee.
      The look, is so familiar.
