The author of this book, Silvena Rowe, was on The Splendid Table. You can listen to the episode's podcast. Ms. Rowe had me at the naming of her book. She said that her father had passed at the time she was preparing this book and the title, in part, described her relationship with him. Her father was the perfume of her life. This statement brought tears to my eyes.
What an honor to be described as the "perfume" of your child's life. This book should be on its way.
